Rangers are on the lookout for a new manager following the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst after a poor first half of the season for the Ibrox club.
At present, Rangers are nine points off their bitter rivals Celtic as they sit in second place, hence why there was mounting pressure on the Dutch coach. On top of this, Gers exited the Champions League in embarrassing circumstances, as they finished on zero points in Group A with a minus-20 goal difference.
Rangers Football Club confirms today it has parted company with manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Van Bronckhorst took over at Rangers in November 2021 following the departure of Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa and managed the Scottish Premiership side 68 times, winning 42 times, drawing on 12 occasions and losing 14 matches, equating to a win percentage of 61.76%.
During his time at Rangers, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the Dutchman, with notable highlights seeing him lead them to the 2021/22 Europa League final, knocking out the likes of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund along the way. Van Bronckhorst also won the 2021/22 Scottish Cup at the expense of Hearts at Hampden Park.
