Arsenal to win
Arsenal have made a good start to the new season, winning seven of their opening nine matches across all competitions. The Gunners have only been beaten once so far, and that was by the title favourites and defending champions Liverpool.
West Ham have lost five of their seven matches this season, and the Hammers have gone three games without a win in the Premier League. The Irons have also conceded first in four of their previous five matches.
Middlesbrough to win
Following their draw against Watford (2-2), the home side are now winless in their previous four games. Portsmouth have suffered two defeats in their last four league games against Sheffield Wednesday (0-2) and Ipswich Town (2-1), with their last victory taking place at the end of August against Preston North End (1-0).
As for Middlesbrough, the league leaders have been by far the best team in the division this season, as their standing suggests. Rob Edwards’ side have won five of their eight league games this season, scoring 12 and only conceding five. The visitors have beaten West Bromwich Albion (2-1) and have recorded victories against Norwich City (1-2) and Millwall (0-3), more notably this season.
Cardiff to win
Despite the recent defeat against Burton Albion (0-1), Cardiff City's overall form should put them at an advantage heading into this game. The Bluebirds have won six, drawn twice and lost twice in the league this season and have conceded six goals this season, making them the best defensive team in the league on record. Leyton Orient are without a win in their last three matches, with no clean sheets in their previous seven games.
Bolton to win
Bolton's record against the Posh is superb, as the home side are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the two sides. At home in recent weeks, Bolton have been excellent, with four wins in their previous four matches in all competitions.
Peterborough United are rooted to the bottom of League One after 10 games, with just two wins and seven defeats to their name. The Posh have one of the worst away records this calendar year, with only one win in their last eight away from home in League One.
Lincoln to win
Lincoln City have been in excellent scoring form in all competitions, scoring first in each of their last five matches. The Imps have won four of their last five games in all competitions and have won their last three matches in the league. Exeter City can't buy a win recently, with five consecutive losses in all competitions, to which they have conceded first in all five matches played.
Port Vale to win
Port Vale are in good form in all competitions, having won five of their last seven matches and by scoring first in four of their last five games. Darren Moore's side have won their last three league matches, averaging two goals a game. Northampton Town have been poor away from home this season, losing three of their four games away from home, and conceding at least twice in all three defeats.
Stevenage to win
Stevenage have been overperforming this season, considering last season the home side finished 14th in the league standings. Stevenage are coming into this game in great form, as the hosts are unbeaten in their last five matches, with four wins against Leyton Orient (1-2), Exeter City (2-1), AFC Wimbledon (1-5) & Wycombe Wanderers (1-0).
For a side that was widely tipped for automatic promotion, Luton Town have failed to live up to those expectations thus far. The Hatters have picked up only four points from their last four matches, having suffered consecutive defeats against Lincoln City (3-1) and Plymouth Argyle (2-3) during that run of games.
Cambridge to win
Cambridge United have lost only once at home in all competitions this season, winning five and drawing the remaining single game. The home side are also coming into this game unbeaten in their last three league matches. Crawley Town have a poor away record this season, with only one win on their travels all season.
