Crewe Alexandra travels to the Stadium of Light this weekend as hosts Sunderland will look to continue their recent fine form. Alex Neil’s side is unbeaten in four and looks to be mounting a challenge for a play-off spot come the end of the season.

It’s a different story for the visitors, with David Artell’s men losing four of their past five and sitting at the foot of the table, with the league's second-worst goal difference record with -36. In scoring 64 goals, Sunderland are League One’s second-best attacking side, with forward and league top scorer Ross Stewart netting 22 times himself this campaign.

Despite coming up empty last weekend, Stewart has still scored four in five and will look to take advantage of a vulnerable Crewe defence. We back the Scot to do so, with Stewart priced at 4/1 to score 2+ goals.

In-form Oxford United face a trip to Shrewsbury Town this weekend as the U’s look to continue their recent good run.

With four wins from their last five, Karl Robinson’s side will look to take all three points at the weekend and continue to hold a play-off spot as we enter the business end of the season.

The Shrews are in okay form lately, unbeaten in three with two draws and a win, and with 39 points look clear of a relegation battle barring any sudden meltdowns. Despite keeping a clean sheet in their last two, the hosts may struggle this week against an Oxford side that has scored 16 times in their past five, with club scorer Matt Taylor hitting four in this time.

Given Oxford’s recent results and Taylor’s goal-scoring prowess, we back the Englishman to tame the Shrews this week, priced at 6/4 to score anytime.

Two of League 2’s form sides meet this week as Exeter City take on Salford City at St James’ Park. Both teams have won three of their past five games, with the home side entering this one in third whilst Salford sits 11th.

Carlisle United plays host to Northampton Town this weekend as the home side will look to continue their recent good form. The hosts have won three on the bounce against Oldham Athletic, Rochdale, and Leyton Orient and may fancy their chances to take something from second-placed Northampton.
