Tranmere Rovers vs Forest Green Rovers

First meets second in what is bound to be a thrilling match this weekend in League Two as Tranmere Rovers welcome Forest Green Rovers to Prenton Park on Saturday. Visitor's, Forrest Green, are seven points clear at the top and look destined for promotion losing just twice all season, last tasting defeat to Swindon Town in early October.

Coming into this one with four wins from five, hosts Tranmere are also in good form and have scored in 10 straight games whilst the visitors are the league top scorers on 51 goals. Considering this, we expect a highly competitive and action-packed affair at the weekend with our tip for both teams to score priced at 4/5.

Mansfield vs Newport County

With seven wins from seven, Mansfield Town are the undisputed form side in the league, with their recent run of results seeing them in contention for a play-off spot come to the end of the season. The Stags have been clinical in recent weeks scoring 13 times in their last five, with a minimum of two goals in each game as they enter this weekend just outside the play-off spots in seventh.

Visitor's, Leyton Orient, are sure to be the underdogs, as the O’s are winless in four and sit mid-table with Kenny Jackett’s side struggling in front of goal lately failing to score in each of their last three games. Given the Stags excellent recent form and the O’s struggles up top, we expect Nigel Clough’s side to extend their winning run in style, priced at 8/1 to win either 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2.

Bolton Wanderers vs Sunderland

Sunderland travel to the University of Bolton Stadium this weekend to take on a Bolton Wanderers side who have an upturn in form of late. The Wanderers have won their last two against Shrewsbury Town and Ipswich Town, ending a run of four straight defeats prior to these and putting significant distance between themselves and the relegation zone. In contrast, visitors Sunderland are gunning for a return to the Championship, sitting second in the table having won two, drawn two, and lost one in the past five.

Despite coming up blank in his last two matches, league top scorer Ross Stewart hit six in his previous three games taking his tally to 18 goals for the season. The Black Cats will be hoping their hit man can find his shooting boots this week, with Stewart priced at 11/8 to score anytime.

Cheltenham Town vs Wigan Athletic

Despite having four games in hand, Wigan Athletic still sit top of League One and look nailed on to play Championship football next season. In their last five league games, the Latics have won four and drawn one, scoring 11 times in the process and look formidable opposition. In stark contrast, hosts Cheltenham Town are winless in five, having drawn three and lost two although at present appear to be clear of a relegation battle.

Given the recent form of Leam Richardson’s side, we expect the Latics to continue their winning run in style, with our tip Wigan to score over 1.5 goals and win the game priced at 13/10.

Doncaster Rovers vs Plymouth Argyle

After making a strong start to the league, Plymouth Argyle have fallen down the table recently, however, they still sit seventh just outside the play-off positions. In their last five, the Pilgrims have won two, lost two and drawn one with goals flying in, scoring nine times themselves with an overall total of 18 match goals.

Despite a shock victory last time out at MK Dons, hosts Doncaster Rovers are in poor form losing four on the bounce prior to that and sit rock bottom of the table. In their past five games, the Rovers have seen 16 goals, and in conceding 49 times, shamefully boast the league’s worst defensive record. Given both teams recent goal-filled games, we expect an action-packed affair at Eco Power Stadium, with our tip over 2.5 match goals priced at 17/20.
