Paraguay have had a torrid time in the South American table of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, as they have lost seven games and drawn seven too, while also winning just twice all campaign long - no side from all 10 nations have won fewer than them.
At the same time, this comes with one of the worst goalscoring records on record in the South American side of things. Paraguay have scored only nine times across 16 games, which to put in perspective, is 14 fewer than Bolivia just above them by two points.
As Ecuador, they've had an excellent time and are now set to get into their first World Cup since 2014 and only their fourth in their history with them now in third after a 1-1 draw with Peru. This puts them now four clear of Peru in fifth place, meaning there is plenty of breathing space within the automatic qualification spots.
