With Juventus captain and defensive mainstay Giorgio Chiellini looking ever more likely to swap his native Italy for the MLS in America, the addition of Antonio Rudiger could be a more than adequate replacement.
The 29-year-old has enough experience in the Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A as well as European football in order to fit well into a Juventus team looking to go for the Serie A title next season.
If the German were to make the move to Northern Italy, he’d most likely pair up with Matthijs de Ligt. The 22-year-old made the move to Juventus in 2019 after Ajax’s long run to the Champions League Semi-Finals grabbed the attention of many of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Despite now having a couple of years in Italy under his belt, a potential partnership with Rudiger could give Juventus a stable defensive partnership for the coming years.
