Eder Militao Next Club Odds

Real Madrid centre back Eder Militao is rumoured to be looking to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, having only played 224 minutes of first-team football this season.

Los Blancos bought the 23-year-old Brazilian from FC Porto in the summer of 2019 for £45m following an impressive debut campaign at the Estádio do Dragão, where despite seeing his team finish second in Liga NOS, just two points behind champions Benfica, he was named in Team of the Year, as well as winning the Primeira Liga's best defender of the month on four consecutive occasions between September 2018 to January 2019.

The Brazilian also struggled to break into Real’s first team in 2019/20, playing just 20 times in all competitions, which has seen the former Porto man become desperate to play first-team football on a regular basis with clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United interested in signing the 23-year-old.

Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Tottenham Hotspur are the favourites to sign the Brazilian at 4/1 as Jose Mourinho is looking to add another central defender to his squad, as he frequently rotates Toby Alderweireld’s centre back partner, as the likes of Eric Dier, Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies have all partnered the Belgian at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.

Spurs seemingly have a good relationship with Real, having loaned in Gareth Bale who had become an unwanted figure at the Santiago Bernabeu. Mourinho’s club also purchased Sergio Reguilon from his old side for £27.5 million with a rumoured buy back fee of the price that they paid. The likes of Bale and Reguilon could be key factors in helping Militao make a crucial decision in his career, as he will already have friends at the club, as well as the opportunity to play regular first-team football for a club that at present is aspiring to compete for major trophies.

Liverpool Odds

Liverpool are next on the clubs that are rumoured to be interested in signing the Brazilian, with the likes of Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez both being ruled out early on this season with long term injuries.

Militao would be a good option for the Anfield club, as logically they either need to look at the long term when signing another centre back or go very short term to fill the gap. Liverpool are known for being very astute in their transfer business so may look to take advantage of Militao’s lack of game time at the Bernabeu as a chance to get the Brazilian in on a cut-price fee.

Liverpool are priced at 5/1 to sign Militao in the January transfer window.<br/>

Manchester United Odds

Finally on this list are Manchester United, with the Old Trafford club being said to need a new centre back, as their defensive record is what has often let them down in competitions such as the Champions League and Carabao Cup, of which they exited both tournaments and will now be desperate to compete for the Premier League title, especially with them having their best start post Sir Alex Ferguson, as they sit top of the table after 18 matches.

United are rumoured to be looking at options to partner club captain Harry Maguire at centre-back, having often struggled when Victor Lindelof has partnered the former Leicester City man, whilst Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe have both often struggled to stay fit.

A move to Old Trafford would be a good move for Militao, as due to United’s vast improvements over the last 12 months, it would give him the chance to show his ability at one of the biggest clubs in the world who look like they could be on course to compete for major honours once again.

United have the odds of 10/1 to sign the Real Madrid centre back.
