Isco Transfer News & Odds

Isco’s departure from Real Madrid looks imminent following the Champions League final at the Stade de France in Paris, with the 30-year-old’s contract set to expire this summer.

The Spain international joined Los Blancos for €30 million all the way back in 2013 from then-moneybags Malaga having impressed under Manuel Pellegrini as they qualified for the Champions League and reached the quarter-finals of the competition just one season later.

Isco played just 407 minutes for Real in the 2021/22 campaign and made 353 appearances clubs as a whole, scoring 53 goals and creating 56 assists.

Real Betis Odds: 6/4

After eight years with Los Blancos, Isco looks set to seek pastures new as a free agent this summer. Isco recently signed with Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes, something which further propels the suggestion he is looking for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

A move to Betis will see him link up with his former manager, Pellegrini, which saw the both of them work together at Malaga before the Spaniard left for Real Madrid in 2013. The two managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League in their final season together, and while Betis narrowly missed out on qualification this campaign, they will certainly be looking to build on an impressive Copa del Rey win.

Betis looks likely to accept a large offer for French star-man Nabil Fekir, and if the attacking midfielder leaves Los Verdiblancos this summer, Isco would make an ideal replacement.

Sevilla Odds: 4/1

Sevilla have been heavily linked with a move for the Spaniard over the last three seasons and with his contract set to expire in June, there’s little doubt Julen Lopetegui’s side will make contact with their long term target.

Following an impressive La Liga campaign, Sevilla will be looking to bolster their squad for the forthcoming Champions League season and signing a now five-time winner would do nothing but add quality and experience to a team who have long struggled in the Europa League’s big brother competition.

While Isco has struggled for a run of games and as a result only managed 15 appearances for Los Blancos last season, his quality is still evident and will no doubt be hungry to prove that. The fact Sevilla have qualified for the Champions League may give them the edge of the likes of Real Betis also chasing his signature.

Sevilla are priced at 4/1 to sign Isco in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur Odds: 8/1

Following their impressive end of season form and subsequent Champions League qualification ahead of bitter rivals Arsenal, Antonio Conte and Spurs have been handed a £150 million cash injection to spend on the club ‘on and off the pitch’.

With that, Conte will no doubt be looking to bolster his squad, bringing in depth and experience for the upcoming domestic and European seasons.

Spurs look set to announce the capture of Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic as another attacking option, and while some may see this as an alternative to Isco, there’s no doubt if given the option, Conte and Spurs would jump at the signing of an established player with over 300 appearances for Real Madrid, winning countless trophies in the process.

With that in mind, Conte would certainly appreciate bringing a serial winner into a dressing room which hasn’t seen a trophy for almost 13 years.

Spurs are priced at 8/1 to acquire Isco this summer.

Villarreal Odds: 10/1

Following an impressive European run which saw the Yellow Submarines of Villarreal knock out Italian giants Juventus and then 2020 Champions League winners Bayern Munich in this year's Champions League, Unai Emery will undoubtedly be looking to bolster their squad and push for the Conference League title as well as an improvement to the seventh-place finish they achieved this year.

Spurs loanee Giovani Lo Celso occupied most of the minutes in the position that Isco would likely play, however with the North London club looking for a relatively high transfer fee for the Argentine, Villarreal may look elsewhere to replace him.

Both Isco’s experience and talent fill that void perfectly and where he may struggle for minutes against the likes of Fekir, Son and Alejandro Gomez from the aforementioned clubs, he would have no problem finding playing time at Villarreal.

Isco is priced at 10/1 to join Villarreal in the summer transfer window.

Leicester City Odds: 12/1

The Foxes endured a largely disappointing campaign last season, with an eighth-place finish, no European football and unable to replicate the FA Cup success of the prior season, Brendan Rodgers and his men will be looking to make a number of positive changes to the squad this summer.

Many of Leicester’s problems came through injuries. With a number of major first team players spending long spells on the sidelines, Rodgers had to rely on the inexperience of youngsters and second-string players who otherwise would be kept for the bench or cup competitions.

Isco would be an ideal signing as not only would he bring heaps of experience and quality, but also lift the pressure on James Maddison, who has had his fair share of injury problems over the season.

Given Isco’s availability as a free agent as well as Leicester’s dire need to improve the depth of their squad, especially on the wing or through the middle, an outside bet on this could be fruitful as while it may be difficult to pry the Spaniard away from the Champions League offerings elsewhere, the money and project at Leicester could certainly intrigue the Spaniard, certainly if he is offered the minutes to back up his lack of playing time since being side-lined at Madrid.

Leicester are priced at 12/1 to complete the signing of Isco on a free transfer this summer.
