Josh King Transfer Odds

AFC Bournemouth striker Josh King has been the subject of a lot of transfer speculation over the last 12 months, as the Norwegian was previously linked with a move to Manchester United last January.

The 28-year-old’s contract is set to expire this summer and with King only playing 371 minutes of Bournemouth’s 22 Championship fixtures this season, making just three appearances since 7th November, it looks as though Jason Tindall’s side are set to cash in on the Norwegian international with plenty of clubs being linked.

West Ham Odds

West Ham are the favourites to sign King from the Cherries at 6/4, due to the recent news that Robert Snodgrass looks set to be off to West Bromwich Albion, as well as Ivory Coast striker Sebastien Haller persistently being linked with a move away from the London Stadium with Dutch champions Ajax rumoured to be interested. King’s versatility could be very useful for the Hammers, as they tend to play in a 5-4-1 formation which converts into a 5-2-3 setup when attacking, meaning that King could play up front or as a winger like he did for Bournemouth, as he has similar physical traits to their first choice striker Michail Antonio, due to having good hold up play, as well as being quick and a good finisher in front of goal, as proven by his records in both 16/17 and 18/19 where he found the back of the net 16 times in 36 league games, and 12 in 35 in the later campaign.

This move would make plenty of sense for both parties as it offers King the chance to play in the Premier League again and would give West Ham more options in attack, as Moyes clearly prefers a more dynamic front three, hence why both Snodgrass and Haller have both been linked with moves away.

West Bromwich Albion Odds

Sam Allardyce’s West Brom closely follow the Hammers as second-favourites, with the former Bolton manager recently stating that his side doesn’t have a natural goal scorer in the team, which is backed up by the fact that Callum Robinson is the Baggies joint top scorer with two goals in the league, of which both came against Chelsea in a 3-3 draw at The Hawthorns back in September.

King would almost be guaranteed a place in the Baggies starting line-up due to his quality and previous goalscoring stats as discussed above, and will be affordable to West Brom due to his contract situation at the Vitality and has the odds of 3/1 to make the move to Allardyce’s side - Click here to claim this bet in your bet slip!

Everton Odds

Everton are another club that have been linked to the Norwegian international due to the Toffees not having a great deal of squad depth. King is very similar to Brazilian striker Richarlison as he can play as an inside forward or a second striker and it is noticeable that Carlo Ancelotti’s side often struggles when the former Watford man is not available for selection; so this could be a good fit for both Everton and King, especially if the Goodison Park outfit makes it into Europe this season, as it will guarantee the Bournemouth man a lot of game time over the next 18 months.

Ancelotti’s side are priced at 7/1 to sign King.

Aston Villa Odds

Finally, on this list of interested teams are Aston Villa, as Dean Smith’s side look to carry on their impressive start to the season, having earned 26 points from 15 matches which sees the Villains sit 8th, with a chance of qualifying for Europe if they can replicate their form over the second half of the season.

Notably, Smith’s side have relied quite heavily upon the fitness of summer signing Ollie Watkins, with the former Brentford man playing in every single minute of their Premier League campaign so far. Last season Villa struggled for goals up front, with strikers Wesley and Mbwana Samatta failing to hit the ground running and will be looking for competition for Watkins who has failed to score in his last eight league games.

This would be an excellent opportunity for King, as it would give the Norwegian a chance to join an exciting side at Villa Park, as well as having the opportunity to realistically compete for regular first-team football whilst Watkins is going through his goal drought.

Villa have the odds of 8/1 to take King from the Vitality to Villa Park.
