Premier League 2020/21 Odds and Prediction

Manchester City to win Premier League Odds

It's perhaps surprising to see Manchester City as the favourites for next season’s Premier League title given how dominant Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were in 2019/20, but it isn’t completely outlandish when you look at what's happened early doors.

In true champion style, City have wasted no time recruiting players, adding Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake within just two weeks of the league concluding, and knowing the Manchester club, more will surely come.

Now, Manchester City odds to win the Premier League is priced at 10/11. It is also foolish to bet against Pep Guardiola when it comes to winning the league as the famous manager has only ever failed to win the league title four of his 12 seasons a senior coach. Plus, with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Ake, Aymeric Laporte to name a few, all still under 30, the best of this team could still be yet to come.

Guardiola will have to worries about filling the gargantuan hole left by David Silva when he departs after the Champions Legaue, whilst Sergio Aguero's injury concerns continue to mount. However, with Foden coming through, Jesus still racking up the goals, there is little doubt that this City side are just one or two players away from regaining the throne.

City odds to win the Premier League are priced at 10/11, but this could shorten, depending on transfer activity.

Liverpool to win Premier League Odds

Liverpool will feel slightly disrespected given their odds behind City, particularly after the Reds won their first Premier League title in such dominant fashion.

Klopp is reportedly not going to be adding any new faces, although Thiago Alcantara remains heavily linked with a move to Anfield. Plus, by winning the Champions League, Club World Cup, Super Cup and Premier League within two seasons, Liverpool's budget and reputation has skyrocketed like never before. Simply put, if the champions want to sign a world class player, now is the time to do so and cash in on the windfall and newly found fame.

Expect Klopp to pick up some depth options, with Kostas Tsimikas the first defensive signing to bolster the best defence in the league. Elsewhere, Adam Lallana has already left, whilst questions remain over the futures of certain players, such as Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Liverpool odds to win the Premier League is an almighty 15/8 and it is difficult to bet against them after such a ruthless season. Names like Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are all below the age of 30 still and their peak powers could still be over the horizon, whilst youngsters like Trent Alexander-Arnold and 26-year-old Fabinho continue to grow.

On paper, the Reds have some of the best in the world. In reality, they perhaps are, still, the best in on the planet and there is little doubt they will continue to get better and better. There lower odds of 15/8 are with the idea of a ruthless City coming back with a bang, and whilst that is justified, with the correct signings, it's tough to see how Liverpool get much worse.

Liverpool to win the Premier League odds are priced at 15/8 and it's certainly worth an end-of-season acca.

Manchester United to win Premier League odds

Ever since the signing of Bruno Fernandes in January, Manchester United have looked like a completely different team. The Red Devils’ form nicely linked with Leicester City’s collapse, ensured United finished third in the table, after it seemed the club wouldn't even make the Europa League at one stage.

As well as this, the emergence of Mason Greenwood has boosted their attack immensely, and alongside Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has one of Europe's deadliest trios in Europe. In fact, considering United's front three have scored 62 goals and counting, whilst Liverpool's main trio registered just 55, it's fair to say they are in a solid place on the attacking front.

At the same time, with Rashford 22, Martial 24 and Greenwood just 18, there is no doubt that their future is in good hands. However, for United to win the Premier League 2020/21, is perhaps asking a little bit too much and United odds to win the Premier League is priced at 15/2.

Similarly to their city rivals, for the Old Trafford outfit, it seems to be a case of however well they do in the transfer market will ultimately determine their season. No doubt Harry Maguire has improved their defence, as they went from their worst defensive season in Premier League history to the third-best defence behind City and Liverpool. However, it's clear improvements are needed to solidify their backline as Premier League contenders.

It's a massive transfer window for United and if they can perhaps add another defender, find a younger solution to the Nemanja Matic role and get Jadon Sancho wrapped up, who knows what could happen? Manchester United odds to win the Premier League are high, but watch their transfer movements and then make your decision.

Chelsea to win Premier League odds

The Blues have made the most noise this transfer window, in typical Chelsea-esque style. Frank Lampard - not long after the club's transfer ban was over - secured the signings of AJax star Hakim Ziyech and Bundesliga hotshot, Timo Werner.

In Ziyech, they have an elite creative talent who is no doubt the closest they've come to replacing Eden Hazard, which makes even more sense now that both Willian and Pedro have departed.

As for Werner, the German was bettered by only Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga top scorer race, as he scored 28 goals for RB Leipzig, compared to the Pole's 34. No doubt that both of these signings are extremely positive for the club moving forward, as Chelsea sides of recent times have only needed the odd signing here or there to make them the complete package.

However, Lampard needs to recruit defenders and perhaps even a goalkeeper if his side are to challenge for the title this season. However, with Financial Fair Play already punishing Chelsea and with two signings already in, there might not be much left to work with to fix their backline.

The Blues are taking steps forward, but gradually. Plus, with City and Liverpool so far ahead as United continue to improve, Chelsea are what they were on the final day: the fourth-best team in England.

Chelsea odds to win the Premier League are a high 14/1 and it's tough to see how they do so without a serious overhaul at the back.

2020/21 Premier League odds

Although it is incredibly unlikely, both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have just enough quality that if the other contenders are out of form or suffer key injuries, perhaps a rogue title challenge could occur.

The Gunners (50/1) are increasingly confident that they will keep captain and star player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Arteta is also in the market trying to sign players to boost Arsenal’s squad after finishing their season in good form with an FA Cup win.

Spurs (50/1) are in lesser spirits than their local rivals, but in Harry Kane and Son Hueng-min, the club possess two forwards that can score against any team in the league as well as a manager who knows how to win with Jose Mourinho. If Spurs can sign a key player or two, it is not completely out of the question for them to win it all with what they have already.

Leicester City (150/1) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (150/1) will both be hoping to pull off a repeat of the Foxes’ Cinderella story from 2015/16, although that would be quite remarkable.

2020/21 Premier League Predictions

It is difficult to look past City and Liverpool’s quality, and with Guardiola and Klopp, the two sides boast the best managers in the division and the best players on paper. In truth, the two right now are so far ahead it is beginning to resemble the La Liga format of Barcelona and Real Madrid and the best of the rest behind fight amongst themselves.

However, this year, United's transfers could make a difference and if they improve their defence and acquire Sancho, it's tough to argue how they wouldn't improve. At the same time, Paul Pogba and Harry Maguire are the only outfield stars over 26, whilst Matic is the only regular making an appearance for the Red Devils over 30, so naturally, Solskajer's men should improve.

A similar situation applies to Chelsea, who have made fantastic early moves in the transfer market, but even if Werner can add 20+ goals, there are still many cracks within the defence and midfield. If Chelsea can acquire the right names in their backline, then like United, Lampard's men could shock a few.

But, when all is considered, it is tough to look past Liverpool and City and one of them should clinch another title. Here at Footy Accums, we're backing Guardiola's men, if they can add a few more stars to their lineup and keep Aguero on the pitch. If not, it's Klopp's to lose once more.
