Premier League Relegation Odds 2021/22

Latest News

Norwich City

Norwich City look destined for the drop as they are eight points adrift of Everton in 17th place, having played two more games than the Toffees.

The Canaries have given the Premier League a decent go this season, but, ultimately look as though they just don’t have the quality to compete to a high enough level to stay in the top-flight, something that Dean Smith will be desperate to prove wrong and address in future transfer windows.

Having won just four of their 29 Premier League fixtures this campaign, the Carrow Road club looks to be running out of time to save themselves and with the likes of Manchester United, West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur amongst their final nine fixtures, the next two months of the season look bleak.

Watford Odds: 1/6

Watford are the second-favourites to be relegated from the Premier League in the 2021/22 season, as the Hornets trail Everton by two points having played two more games than the Toffees.

The Hornets managed a superb 2-1 victory at Southampton last time out in the Premier League and still have to play Everton at Vicarage Road but, having played two more matches and having the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester City and Chelsea all still to play, they ought to find their form sooner rather than later.

Roy Hodgson has bags of experience, having kept the likes of Fulham, West Brom and Crystal Palace in the top-flight from precarious positions and with matches coming up against Everton, as well as Leeds United, Brentford, Burnley and Crystal Palace, he will hope that his side can maximise their points tally in these encounters.

Burnley Odds: 8/13

The next team on this list is Burnley, who are somehow just four points off 17th place despite winning the fewest number of matches in the Premier League this campaign, managing just three victories in 27, drawing 12 times.

Sean Dyche’s men do have a favourable run-in, however, as after their next fixture against Manchester City at Turf Moor, their biggest challenge will be Tottenham Hotspur away.

The Clarets have to face the likes of Everton at Turf Moor, as well as having the likes of Norwich, Watford, Aston Villa and Newcastle United all to play, meaning that they will have to increase their overall goal tally from that which has seen them score 22 in 27 fixtures, whilst also earning vital victories.

Everton Odds: 5/2

Everton will wonder how they have found themselves in this position, but, following the departures of Carlo Ancelotti, James Rodriguez and Lucas Digne, coupled with the turbulent era of Rafael Benitez and Financial Fairplay issues, the Toffees must find form if they are to consolidate their place in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard has a tough task on his hands, especially coming off the back of suffering a 4-0 annihilation in the FA Cup to Crystal Palace, as well as winning just two Premier League games since his arrival at Goodison Park in February.

If they are to survive, then they will have to pick up some points against those that stand ahead of them, as they face Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal in May, on top of West Ham, Manchester United, Leicester and Liverpool in April. Their most winnable fixtures on paper are Burnley and Watford away, as well as Brentford at home, although as we know, no matches are won off the pitch.

Leeds United Odds: 3/1

Jesse Marsch will be confident of seeing his side stay up in the Premier League, following dramatic 2-1 and 3-2 victories over Norwich and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Elland Road club are seven points above 18th placed Watford and face the Hornets at Vicarage Road on 9th April, which will either create breathing room for the Yorkshire side, or drag them firmly into the fight.

With an easier run-in till the end of the season than the likes of Everton, as well as having managed two victories from what were unlikely circumstances, Leeds will fancy their chances of picking up enough points to maintain their Premier League status against Southampton, Watford, Palace, Brighton and Brentford between now and the end of the current campaign.

One thing that will concern Marsch though, is the 67 goals that they have let in over the course of 30 matches under both himself and Marcelo Bielsa.

Brentford Odds: 6/1

The final team on this list are Brentford who are just one point better off than Leeds in what is their first-ever Premier League season.

Thomas Frank’s men started life to the Premier League in good form, picking up 12 points from their opening seven fixtures, accumulating just 18 from their last 23. The Bees have won two of their last three matches against Norwich and Burnley to significantly increase their chances of survival, but, must manage to avoid winless runs, such as their eight-match one between January and March.

Brentford still have to face the likes of Chelsea, United and Tottenham in their run-in, as well as three of the five sides behind them that they will be battling against to stay up, meaning that they must maintain their decent form of late or face the consequences.
