After receiving a humbling from Manchester City at Anfield last Sunday, Liverpool return to action against their former manager Brendan Rodgers, when they travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City, in matchday 24’s opener.
Despite sitting a place above Liverpool in the league, Leicester were convincingly beaten 3-0 by the Reds in the reverse fixture earlier this season, and all three meetings between the sides since Rodgers took charge have ended in defeat for Leicester. Even before Rodgers took over, Leicester’s record against Liverpool was poor, losing seven of the last nine.
Liverpool’s only league wins in 2021 both came away from home against Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, and like many sides, appear to prefer playing on the road at the moment. Leicester are another one of those sides as they have lost five of their 11 home games this season.
As well as both being in the top four in the table, the two are also in the top four of the scoring charts, so goals are almost certain here. Liverpool’s defensive record is on par with Burnley in 17th, but only Manchester United have scored more. We are tipping Liverpool to continue their excellent record over Leicester with both teams to score in the game, available at 11/4 with Sky Bet.
