Man City vs Fulham Tips: under 3.5 goals

Scott Parker takes his Fulham side to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City on Saturday after a massive win over Leicester City saw them move out of the relegation zone.

Pep Guardiola saw an improvement from his side in their big win over Burnley, but goals have been an issue for City over the start of the season so far.

There has been over 3.5 goals in just two of their last 13 games, and that stat is mirrored completely by Fulham. Only Liverpool have attempted more shots per game than City, but despite their average of 16, that has resulted in just 1.4 goals per game in nine Premier League matches.

If the hosts have been more feeble in front of goal than usual, then do not expect Fulham to offer much of a threat either. The Londoners have blanked in 50% of their league games this season, and have failed to score in their last five visits to the Etihad.

With both sides not showing great attacking potency in the early stages, under 3.5 goals is our tip at 11/10 with Sky Bet.

Liverpool v Wolves Tips: Liverpool to win by one goal

Liverpool host a Wolverhampton Wanderers side still reeling in mixed emotions after a brilliant win at Arsenal last week which was overshadowed by the horror injury suffered by star man, Raul Jimenez.

Despite much turbulence with injuries and a hectic schedule, Liverpool still find themselves in a strong position, level on points with current leaders, Tottenham Hotspur, with a win potentially taking them back to the top, as Spurs play a north London derby.

The Reds' ability to win very close games ensured their first title in 30 years last season, and they have continued that trend in the new campaign, as five of their 11 wins this season have been by one goal, and they were seconds from doing so last week, before a late penalty saw them drop two points against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Wolves have seen similar patterns to Liverpool, as seven of their last 13 games have been decided by just one goal. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are the kings of a late showing after a scrappy start, with the majority of their goals coming in the second half, but Liverpool’s quality in attack may see them just edge this one.

Liverpool to win by a one-goal margin is available at odds of 5/2 with Sky Bet.

Spurs v Arsenal Tips:

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts the first north London derby of the new season as Tottenham face Arsenal, looking to hold on to the number one spot at the top of the Premier League.

Arsenal have not won at their rival's soil since 2015, with Spurs winning three times since then, but the gap has never been bigger between the two for years. 14 places separate the sides, with Jose Mourinho’s men sitting top and Arsenal languishing down in the bottom half.

Tottenham have the best defence in the league, conceding just nine so far, while their upcoming visitors have the worst attack outside the bottom three, scoring just ten, and without a goal from open play in their last six matches.

Arsenal’s arch-nemesis is Harry Kane. The England frontman has scored ten goals in his 11 Premier League appearances against the Gunners, and his form of late suggests he is ready to cause more trouble for the red side of North London, contributing to 16 goals after just ten games this term.

Kane to score and Spurs to win is priced at 7/4.

Burnley v Everton tips: Under 1.5 goals

Two of the most out of form sides in the Premier League meet at Turf Moor on Saturday lunchtime, as Burnley host Everton in the matchday 11 opener.

Only Sheffield United have a worse record than Carlo Ancelotti’s side over the last five league games and the same can be said in relation to Burnley when looking at the season in full so far, as the Clarets come into this one in 19th. Burnley have also had difficulty finding the net, scoring just twice in their last nine matches, as no side has scored fewer than them this season.

Everton have also been struggling after an electric start. They have scored under 1.5 goals in four of their last five games, all of which saw them fall to defeat. Ancelotti has evidently been too focused on trying to tighten up a weary defence, and it has hindered their attacking threat in doing so.

Both meetings between the sides saw under 1.5 goals last season, and BTTS has only been seen in two of the last six encounters. With both sides in woeful form, expect a similar feat. Under 1.5 goals here is priced at 12/5.

Chelsea v Leeds tips: Chelsea to win to nil

Saturday night’s viewing comes courtesy of Chelsea versus Leeds United, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side will look to cause another surprise away from home, after their dominant display at Goodison Park against Everton last weekend.

That may be a tall order for Leed, though, as Frank Lampard has seen notable improvements from his expensively assembled squad this season, and none more so than in goal. Edouard Mendy’s signing from Rennes has coincided with a remarkable upturn in clean sheets for the Blues. In fact, since the Senegalese keeper made his league debut, Chelsea have conceded just two goals in the 10 games he has featured in, surely bringing Kepa Arrizabalaga’s time at the club to an end.

It has resulted in improved results, as Chelsea have now won seven of their last eight games, with their draw against Tottenham Hotspur last week the only slight blemish on that record.

Despite their big win at Everton, Leeds’ form has been very inconsistent. They have lost three of their last six and even though they may create a lot of chances regularly, they are not the most clinical. Scoring eight in their last eight may not be awful, but their xG against Everton was near 3.5 and they scored just once, so some work on their shooting may be in the offing.

Back Chelsea to shut out once more against Leeds here, with a win to nil, available at 2/1 with Sky Bet.
