In what was his debut season but not his first after a spell at Chelsea, Salah stunned the footballing world with a record-breaking 32 goals in the 38-game Premier League season. Similarly to players like Aguero, if Kane can stay fit, the Spurs man will no doubt be in the running. In fact, the campaign in which Salah broke the record with 32 goals, Kane himself netted 29 from 30 games, meaning he could well have surpassed the record-breaking winger that year, had injuries not been so brutal.
