4 Tips for Friday’s Premier League Action - 30/12/22

West Ham and Brentford go head to head at the London Stadium in what should be an interesting match-up between tenth and 16th in the Premier League.

Last time out, the Hammers were beaten 3-1 away at Arsenal, despite taking a 1-0 lead through a Said Benrahma penalty in the first half. On the other hand, Brentford squandered a 2-0 lead at home to Tottenham Hotspur as they drew 2-2 at the Gtech Community Stadium

In the Hammers' 3-1 loss to Arsenal, they had five corners to the Gunners' seven, while being shown two yellow cards. Brentford had six corners to Spurs’ five while receiving three yellow cards last time out.

England internationals Jarrod Bowen and Ivan Toney are two players to look out for in this match-up.

Bowen has scored four goals this season and will be looking to hit the heights he found in the 2021/22 campaign where the ex-Hull City man bagged 18 goals and created 13 assists.

Meanwhile, Toney is the third top scorer in the Premier League, only being bettered by Harry Kane and Erling Haaland, as the former Peterborough United man has 11 goals in 15 matches and scored last time out against Tottenham.

Liverpool against Leicester City should be a goal-filled game at Anfield if their last league results are anything to go off.

Jurgen Klopp’s men managed a 3-1 win away at Aston Villa thanks to goals by Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Stefan Bajcetic, while Leicester were on the wrong end of a humbling 3-0 scoreline at home to Newcastle United.

Salah has scored 16 times in 23 matches during the 2022/23 campaign, while Nunez has taken 61 shots in 20 matches with a 52% accuracy. Last time out at Villa Park, the Uruguayan had four shots on target.

During that match, Liverpool had six corners, while Leicester committed nine fouls against Newcastle - a count that could rack up when they have to defend against the pace of Liverpool’s counter attacks at Anfield on Friday night.

Despite some poor finishing displays of late against Manchester City and Villa, summer signing, Nunez, has scored nine goals and created three assists in 20 matches this campaign, with three of his goals coming from headers.

With the quality of Liverpool’s deliveries from the flanks, as well as the sheer amount of chances the Uruguayan has per game, this could be a good shout at 7/1.
