Kieran Trippier - Newcastle v Aston Villa

Newcastle welcome Aston Villa to St James’ Park looking to build off of their resounding 2 - 1 win over Tottenham. Aston Villa, however, are also on an upwards trajectory after the departure of Steven Gerrard from the managerial position and the acquisition of Unai Emery as their next one, thrashing Brentford 4 - 0.

Kieran Trippier has impressed so far in his first full season with The Magpies. The Englishman has two assists and a goal - a very important one to help Newcastle to a 3 - 3 draw with Manchester City. Along with this, Trippier has created the most chances for Newcastle, 31 in 13 appearances.

As for Fantasy Premier League, Trippier is the seventh-highest point-scoring player to have in a team, with 66 points so far. Adding to this, other than teammate Miguel Almiron, Trippier is the least expensive player in the top ten most valuable players, making him a good choice for any team.

Aleksandar Mitrovic - Fulham v Everton

Seventh-place Fulham take on a resurgent 12th-place Everton at Craven Cottage this Saturday. Fulham come into the game off of a tight 3 - 2 win over a struggling Leeds, whereas Everton managed a more than impressive 3 - 0 win against Crystal Palace.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has fared much better in the Premier League this time around. He has already completely smashed his last return in the league in the 2020/21 where he only scored three times in 27 appearances, as the Serbian has scored nine goals in 11 games. In fact, the striker is currently averaging a goal every 103 minutes.

Mitrovic has scored 60 points so far in Fantasy Premier League, and is the fourth most valuable striker available. For £6.8 million, Mitrovic has been a consistent scorer for Fulham this season, and not a bad pick for forward, one of the more cost-effective options in comparison to the likes of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

Alisson - Liverpool v Leeds

Leeds travels to Anfield to take on a Liverpool team who have been struggling so far this Premier League season. Liverpool, though having put on a dominant show in their 3 - 0 win over Ajax in the Champions League, will want to bounce back in the league after a shock 1 - 0 loss to bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest. Leeds will also want to recover from their 3 - 2 loss to Fulham.

Alisson has been a real star for Liverpool this season, keeping them in games with his saves, as well as registering game-winning assists as seen in the 1 - 0 win over Manchester City. Alisson has kept four clean sheets so far this season, just one behind City’s Ederson and Newcastle’s Nick Pope.

The Brazilian is also the second-highest-scoring goalkeeper in Fantasy Premier League with 57 points to his name so far this season, just three points adrift from Nottingham Forest’s Dean Henderson. Though one of the more expensive options, Alisson is always a reliable figure between the sticks.

Jose Sa - Brentford v Wolves

Brentford host Wolves this weekend in a battle between 11th and 19th respectively. The Bees desperately need to bounce back from their stumble of a 4 - 0 loss to Aston Villa, with Wolves suffering a similar fate when they played Leicester, losing 4 - 0 to The Foxes.

Though Wolves sit a disappointing 19th, Jose Sa has been having an underrated season. The Portuguese goalkeeper has kept four clean sheets this season, as many as Alisson, De Gea, Lloris and Ramsdale to name a few. In fact, most of Wolves’ problems lie in the fact that they cannot seem to score, meaning all of their defensive work doesn’t really get its rewards.

Sa also brings in a lot of Fantasy Premier League points, being in the top four for most points scored by goalkeepers. With 56 points, Sa is a good and budget-friendly option, only setting you back £5.1 million.

Granit Xhaka - Arsenal v Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest travels to Arsenal this weekend looking for all three points to get them off the bottom of the table. Arsenal will want to take a dominant win after they slumped to a 1 - 1 draw last time out against Southampton, whereas Forest took an impressive, yet shocking, 1 - 0 over Liverpool.

Granit Xhaka has used this season to convert any other non-believers in the Arsenal fanbase to his cause. The Swiss midfielder has four goals and three assists in 16 appearances this season, just one goal behind his best-ever return in a Premier League season.

Of the heavy hitters of Fantasy Premier League for Arsenal, Xhaka is on the cheaper side, coming in at £5.1 million. For that price, he has scored 55 points so far this season, only nine points behind top scorer Bukayo Saka, who is £2.9 million more expensive than Xhaka. Overall, the Swiss is a good option for midfield, showing a consistency never seen before for Arsenal.
