5 Players to Consider for FPL Gameweek 3

Jordan

Aleksandr Mitrovic - £6.6m

With two goals after just the two games so far this season, Aleksandr Mitrovic could be worth bringing in for game week three. The Serbian marksman will be looking to add to his tally when Fulham go up against Brentford at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

At just £6.6m, Mitrovic is relatively cheap for a striker that is certain to lead the line and looks worth his weight in gold. The 27-year-old will be out to avenge his penalty miss last weekend by claiming his third goal in as many Premier League games.

Rodrigo – £6.1m

With 22 points so far this season, Rodrigo leads the way in total points earned in FPL up to now. The Spaniard has enjoyed a great start to the campaign, leading the goalscoring charts early on with three goals in two games. He opened his account against Wolves on the opening day, before adding a brace last time out against Southampton.

Rodrigo is a steal at just over £6m, and with the form he is in, now might be the best time to swoop for the midfielder. Leeds host Chelsea on Sunday, and although they may not be favourites to win, there’s a chance that Rodrigo could have another good performance.

Josh Dasilva - £4.6m

Brentford’s Josh Dasilva could be an absolute steal for the low price of £4.6m. The midfielder has come through some terrible injury luck to finally earn his spot in Thomas Frank’s team, ahead of their London derby against Fulham this weekend.

After just nine league appearances last season, Dasilva made an impact on his first of the 2022/23 campaign, coming off the bench to grab the Bees’ 86th-minute equalizer in the opening game against Leicester. He followed that up by scoring the opener in Brentford’s 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United last week – albeit with a little help from David De Gea.

Dasilva has earned his way into the Brentford starting XI with two goals in two games, and at £4.6m, he certainly looks value for money.

Joe Aribo - £5.5m

Joe Aribo could be one to look out for after impressing so far for Southampton. The summer signing from Rangers opened his account for the season in Saints’ second game, the 2-2 draw against Leeds last weekend.

Aribo looks a shrewd bit of business by the south-coast outfit, showing off his talent in preseason with a prime example being that incredible solo goal in the friendly against Villareal. He played 90 minutes in an advanced forward position against Spurs on the opening day, before making an impact off the bench last time out. His goal that started the comeback against Leeds will put him strongly in contention to start again this weekend and potentially make an impact against Leicester.

Marc Cucurella - £5m

Marc Cucurella may be worth a look if your team is in need of a new defender, after the new Chelsea signing got off to a good start on his full debut last weekend. The left wing-back grabbed an assist in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham, teeing up Kalidou Koulibaly for the opener.

Chelsea will be favourites for the win against Leeds this weekend, which could see Cucurella shine again. The defender is likely to start after a good performance on his home debut last time. At £5m, the Spaniard is quite cheap compared to the likes of Joao Cancelo and Trent Alexander-Arnold, so could be worth a transfer.
