            Location: The Emirates

The top of the table is tight, with just two points separating the top two, Arsenal looking to unseat Liverpool at the top of the table. A bout of bad form from Newcastle took them out of the European football spots, a win this weekend could get them back in touching distance.

Arsenal currently sit second in the Premier League after 25 games. The Gunners have 17 wins, four draws and four losses, leaving them on 55 points, two points ahead of Manchester City and just two points behind Liverpool.

The Gunners have been on fire in front of goal this season, scoring 58 goals in 25 games, giving Arsenal an average of 2.32 goals a game. At the other end of the pitch, Arsenal have been even better, conceding 22 goals and keeping ten clean sheets.

Newcastle, on the other hand, sit eighth in the Premier League. In 25 games, The Magpies have 11 wins, four draws and ten losses which leaves them on 37 points, 12 points from Champions League football.

The Magpies are also finding the back of the net more often than not. In 25 games, Newcastle have scored 53 goals, giving them an average of 2.12 goals a game. However, Newcastle have been weaker defensively, conceding 41 goals and seven clean sheets.

Arsenal vs Newcastle is a historic fixture, happening on 192 occasions, the first coming back in 1893. The Gunners have the better record with 84 wins in comparison to Newcastle’s 69 wins, the other 39 games ending in a draw.
