Bristol Rovers take on Oxford United in the first round of the FA Cup at the Memorial Ground.
Both teams have scored in four of the Pirates last five matches, as they beat Northampton Town 2-1 last time out thanks to goals from Josh Grant and Antony Evans. Prior to their victory over the Cobblers, Rovers had lost 5-3 and 3-1 to the likes of Exeter City and Newport County, having drawn 2-2 with their opponents Oxford in the initial match at the Kassam, as they pegged Karl Robinson’s side back twice, through goals by Sam Finley and Evans, having fallen behind twice via strikes from Matty Taylor and Marcus McGuane.
Oxford come into this match as favourites still as they are one league above their opponents, as they are sixth in League One. Prior to their 2-2 draw versus Rovers, they had beaten both Morecambe and Burton Albion by 3-1 scorelines, as well as Tottenham Hotspur's Under 21s 3-2. Robinson’s men have scored 26 and conceded 17 in English football’s third-tier.
