On Sunday morning, Newcastle Jets take on Adelaide United at the McDonald Jones Stadium in a battle of 11th against fifth in the standings.
Newcastle come into this game having seen all of their last five matches have over 2.5 goals in them following their recent 2-1 loss to Macarthur FC, having also beaten Wellington Pehonix 4-0, as well as managing back to back 2-2 draws against Sydney and Western Sydney Wanderers off the back of a 2-1 loss to Central Coast Mariners.
On the other hand, three of Adelaide’s last four games have seen over 2.5 goals in them, having beaten the likes of Wellington Pheonix 4-0 and Brisbane Roar 3-1 on either side of a 2-2 draw with Melbourne City.
The last meeting between these two sides was all the way back in March 2020 where the Jets ran out as 3-0 winners thanks to goals by Roy O’Donovan, Matthew Millar and Steven Ugarkovic.
