United vs Palace: Fernandes to Score First and United to Win 3-1: 33/1

Manchester United begin their season at Old Trafford where they will face Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. Roy Hodgson's side ground out a 1-0 victory over Southampton in a cagey opening fixture, courtesy of an assured finish from Wilfried Zaha.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will once again be chasing Champions League qualification and will be hoping to build on a fairly successful end to last season, which saw them reach three semi-finals, as well as an impressive 14-game unbeaten run.

The addition of Donny van der Beek will provide United with some much-needed balance in midfield, with the former Ajax man registering eight goals and six assists in the Eredivisie last season.

As we take a closer look at this weekend’s fixture, we’ve gone for an ambitious but still very plausible boosted bet in Bruno Fernandes to score first and United to win 3-1 at 33/1.

The Portuguese international has been an absolute revelation since his move from Sporting Lisbon, and currently has more goal involvements (15) than he has league appearances. It is six years since United last failed to win their opening game, and although Palace managed to walk away with all three points here last season, we can see Solskjaer’s side getting the victory on Saturday.

United to win 3-1 and Fernandes to bag first can be claimed right here with the boosted odds of 33/1.

Arsenal vs West Ham: Aubameyang to Score a Brace - 4/1

Both of these sides began their campaigns last weekend in very contrasting fashion. West Ham looked a frustrated side as they slumped to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle. Having finished last season with a four-game unbeaten run, David Moyes will be looking to galvanise his players after a somewhat lacklustre display last weekend.

Mikel Arteta seems to have found a perfect blend of youth and experience, which has resulted in a return to the attractive football we had come accustomed to when watching Arsenal. They swept aside newcomers Fulham in an assured 3-0 victory in which captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continued his prolific goalscoring exploits.

The Gabonese international, who has just signed a new contract after it was revealed he rejected an offer from Barcelona, has scored six goals in his last five games, including two braces. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he took that tally to three on Saturday evening, which is why at 4/1, our tip goes to him scoring a brace.

Chelsea vs Liverpool: Werner and Salah to score - 11/2

The first heavyweight clash of the season sees Chelsea host champions Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard has had a staggering £230m backing from owner Roman Abramovich, with marquee signings such as Timo Werner impressing on their league debuts against Brighton last week.

Werner finished last season with 34 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for RB Leipzig, and looked a real threat on the south coast last Monday, winning the penalty that gave Chelsea the lead.

The German's blistering pace and direct forward runs will cause Liverpool all sorts of problems, and with creative talents such as Kai Havertz alongside him, the possibility of Werner etching his name on the scoreboard is high.

Similarly, Liverpool’s own prolific frontman Mohamed Salah had an emphatic start to the new league season, scoring a hat-trick against Leeds in their incredible 4-3 victory last Saturday. The Egyptian will be hungry to surpass his tally of 19 goals last season, which, although impressive to any players, isn't quite at the heights we have seen in recent years since his arrival at Anfield.

However, we have tipped both Salah and Werner to score at 11/2 in what promises to be a highly entertaining affair - click here to claim this bet in your bet slip.

Leeds vs Fulham: Leeds to Win 3-1 - 14/1

Premier League football returns to Elland Road after a 16 year absence as last season's Championship winners host play-off winners Fulham.

The home side made an explosive return to top-flight football as they pushed Champions Liverpool all the way on matchday one, with an 88th minute Mohamed Salah penalty preventing Marcelo Bielsa from snatching an impressive draw away at Anfield.

As for Fulham, they welcomed fellow Londoners Arsenal to Craven Cottage in the opening game of the season, but found themselves outclassed during a tough 3-0 defeat.

The last time these sides met at Elland Road, Leeds were eventual 3-0 winners, with Fulham winning the reverse fixture 2-1. Leeds’ formidable home form helped them on their way to being champions last season, conceding just 14 goals.

To make matters worse for Fulham, they only managed to score 24 times in 23 away fixtures in the Championship last year, so we’re predicting it could be a tricky afternoon for Scott Parker’s side. We’ve tipped Leeds to get the victory on the weekend 3-1 at 14/1.

The Liverpool match highlighted both their strength going forward, but also their vulnerabilities at the back, and Marcelo Bielsa will want to get back to winning ways having been knocked out of the EFL Cup by Hull in midweek.

Southampton vs Tottenham - Harry Kane and Danny Ings Both to Score: 11/2

Both Southampton and Tottenham endured a tough return following the break, both losing 1-0 to Crystal Palace and Everton respectively.

Jose Mourinho’s side struggled to get a foothold against Everton and certainly looked off the pace, with Mourinho blaming coronavirus diagnoses within the camp and international football scheduling for their lack of preparation. To compound his misery, Spurs currently find themselves in the midst of a possible nine games in 22 days as they look to balance the Europa League, Carabao Cup and the Premier League in the coming weeks.

As for Southampton, they too were lacking any real conviction against Crystal Palace last weekend despite dominating the majority of the match. This fixture seems very hard to predict, with Tottenham only managing to win four games on the road last season, while Southampton finished the season having lost 10 games at St Mary’s.

With this in mind, it might be worth backing a draw in this fixture at 12/5. However, our boosted pick goes to Harry Kane and Danny Ings both to get on the scoresheet at 11/2. They scored 40 league goals between them during the last campaign, and both players will be eager to begin their own pursuit of the Golden Boot.
