Ipswich to win

The Tractor Boys have a favourable road to the second-place spot in the Championship, with the home side having two games in hand over the teams around them. Ipswich Town are heading into this fixture unbeaten in their last seven league games and the hosts have one of the best home records in the division, with only one defeat at Portman Road this season.

Birmingham City suffered a disappointing defeat against Blackburn Rovers last time out. The defeat now leaves the Blues without a win in their last three league games with the aforementioned defeat to Blackburn and a further defeat to Derby County (1-0). Birmingham City have conceded first in five of their last seven matches.

Lincoln to win

Reading’s form has been mixed of late, as the Royals have won only twice in their last six league matches. The home side were held to a draw against Huddersfield Town last time out and have suffered defeats against Mansfield Town (1-0) and Stevenage (1-0) in their last six.

Lincoln City’s late victory against AFC Wimbledon has given the Imps the opportunity to secure promotion on Monday, with only a point needed away at Reading. The league leaders are in tremendous form, with the visitors unbeaten in their last 22 matches and have picked up 16 points from their last six league matches.

Salford City to win

Crewe Alexandra are two points behind the top seven spots in League Two, although their recent form has been inconsistent. The home side have lost three of their previous six league fixtures, following their 2-0 away defeat to Accrington Stanley last time out. The home side have conceded first in five of their last six league games.

Salford City’s league form has been excellent, with the Ammies closing in on a potential top-three spot. Salford City have won six of their last seven league fixtures with notable victories against Notts County (2-1), MK Dons (1-0), Barrow (3-1) and Harrogate Town (0-1).

Notts County to win

Notts County are the overwhelming favourites for this fixture, as they play host to relegation candidates Newport County. The Magpies have won three of their last five league games, with wins over Harrogate Town (0-2), Cheltenham Town (5-2) and Accrington Stanley (0-4).

Newport County’s league form has been poor for a side trying to avoid the drop. The visitors have lost four of their last six league games, with defeats to Crawley Town (0-2), Walsall (2-1), Bromley (0-1) and Colchester United (1-2). Newport County have conceded first in five of their last seven league games.

Luton Town to win

AFC Wimbledon are now winless in their last five matches, following their late defeat to Lincoln City on Friday. The Dons have suffered four defeats in those five games, with losses to Lincoln, Stockport County (3-0), Leyton Orient (2-4) and Stevenage (1-0). The home side have conceded first in five of their last six matches.

Luton Town’s win against Peterborough United has now extended the Hatters unbeaten run to five matches in the league. The victory against the Posh for Jack Wilshere’s side now means that Luton Town have won three of their last five league games with further victories against Wycombe (1-2) and Exeter City (3-2).

Leicester City to win

Sheffield Wednesday are without a win in their last 35 matches in the Championship and will be set to finish on a negative points tally because of off-field issues. The Owls have lost their last three matches with defeats to Stoke City (2-0), Hull City (3-1) and Ipswich Town (0-2).

Leicester City have had their struggles in the league, however, will likely fancy their chances against the worst side in the division. Recent head-to-head meetings generally favour the visiting side, with the Foxes unbeaten in the last five matches against the Owls. Leicester City are also unbeaten away from home in their last four, with credible results against Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town.

Coventry City to win

Hull City were held to a 1-1 draw against relegation candidates Oxford United in their previous game. The Tigers have only won two of their previous six league fixtures, whilst suffering three defeats at the hands of Ipswich Town (1-0), Millwall (1-3) and West Bromwich Albion (3-0). The Tigers have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six matches.

Coventry City are in magnificent form, as the league leaders look set to gain promotion to the Premier League this season. The Sky Blues have won four of their last five league fixtures with wins against Derby County (3-2), Swansea City (0-3), Preston North End (3-0) and Bristol City (0-2). The visitors have been strong away from home, with four straight victories on the road in the Championship.
