Thursday night sees Tottenham Hotspur face Royal Antwerp at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the home side needing to win if they are to finish as top of the group ahead of the visiting side.
The return fixture saw Spurs manager Jose Mourinho question the attitude of a lot of his players, as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat in Belgium, following a first-half strike by Lior Refaelov. This should theoretically mean that Tottenham will be out to prove a point following the disappointing performance and scoreline last time out.
In the Europa League, Mourinho tends to play a much-changed forward line, with the likes of Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius usually being favoured, due to the heavy fixture schedule which Tottenham have had.
Gareth Bale is often a topic of focus, as following his surprise move back to Spurs from Real Madrid on loan in the summer, the Welshman is still getting closer to reaching full match fitness, and scored last time out in the Europa League in Spurs’ 3-3 draw away at LASK, Bale is currently priced at 7/2 to score first or last against Royal Antwerp on Thursday.
