Former Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, played an impressive part during a 4-0 win in a trial match.
Usain Bolt has scored his first two goals for the Central Coast Mariners. His brace came against Macarthur South West United, these are the Jamaicans first two goals for the Mariners. He is currently still on trial with the Australian club and looking to secure a professional contract with them.
This was the first game he has started for the club, and his slightly odd partnership with ex Aston Villa wantaway striker Ross McCormack seems to have worked an absolute treat.
Bolt has said after the match "My first start and scoring two goals, it's a good feeling. I'm happy I could come here and show the world I'm improving. I'm keen to be a Mariner, to play my best and get into the team.
The former Olympic champion looks like he is improving in every match and isn't doing any harm in getting a contract with the Mariners, especially with him scoring goals. The A League starts next week and it could be an interesting time for Bolt to see if he can get his first professional contract with the Australian club.
