Recently, Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson went viral for some top class sh*thousery during his side’s victory over Wigan Athletic.
The on-loan Manchester United shot-stopper decided to mock a late effort from one of the Wigan players by sarcastically diving for the ball, despite the fact it was clearly set to sail high and wide.
However, it seems his efforts have now themselves been topped, with Wellington Phoenix’s Polish goalkeeper Filip Kurto taking the art of the sarcastic dive to a new level during his side’s 3-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
The A-League match was drawing to a close as the Wanderers desperately tried to score an equaliser that would see them leave the game with a point, but they ultimately proved unsuccessful in their efforts.
Kurto - who shares a dressing room with ex-Newcastle defender Steven Taylor and former Celtic forward Cillian Sheridan - saw this as the perfect opportunity to try and run the clock down, as he threw himself at shots going wide of the mark.
Watch below to see the hilarious moment that Kurto throws himself at weak efforts that were well out of harm’s way.
