Here’s something to make you feel old - it’s 17 years to the day since Gianfranco Zola scored his iconic flick against Norwich City.
The Italian scored the goal in his penultimate season at Stamford Bridge in 2001/02 in the FA Cup, as he masterfully guided the ball home in unorthodox fashion, with it being one of the best strikes of his impressive collection.
Fast-forward 17 years and Zola is now a member of the coaching staff at Chelsea, being assistant manager to Maurizio Sarri as they look to get the Blues challenging for the Premier League title once again.
To celebrate the landmark, Chelsea TV challenged Women’s star forward Fran Kirby to recreate the effort in training - and she got as close as you can to replicating the effort.
Watch below as the reigning Women’s PFA Player of the Year has a go at producing her own version of Zola’s iconic effort at Stamford Bridge.
