4 Tips for Wednesday’s World Cup Semi-Final - 14/12/22

On Wednesday, France and Morocco go head to head in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in what should be a fascinating contest.

France striker Olivier Giroud managed to score in his side’s 2-1 victory over England via a header - the 36-year-old AC Milan forward will be keen to replicate this feat once again in the semi-final.

The 25-year-old Bayern Munich full-back is often deployed as a left-back at international level and could have his work cut out against the likes of Ousmane Dembele. The ex-Ajax man has received two yellow cards in five Champions League appearances for Bayern this campaign.

As previously mentioned, Amrabat has played a starring role in Morocco’s midfield, seeing him linked with a potential move to Liverpool. The 26-year-old has committed two fouls and received one yellow card at the 2022 World Cup.

So far at the 2022 World Cup, Mbappe is the top scorer at the competition with five goals in five matches, while teammate Griezmann has created three assists in the tournament.

Giroud has averaged 3.3 shots per game for France in Qatar 2022, with 1.5 of these being on target per match.
