Our World Cup Winners So Far

Over the course of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Footy Accumulators has had several winning tips with high odds, notably, doing so of late with 100/1 and 125/1 Premium Boosts with the latest one to come in being from last night’s semi-final fixture between Argentina and Croatia

Here, we take a look at the most notable winning tips that we’ve had since the start of the World Cup back on 20th November.

Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Benfica centre-back Nicolas Otamendi have recently become FA royalty, having been the final legs to come through in two of our featured boosts.

Koulibaly needed to receive a booking in England’s 3-0 victory over Senegal, as we had tipped for Harry Kane to score in that match. This was part of a cross-match special which also required PSG forward Kylian Mbappe to score against Poland, as well as Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash to be shown a yellow card.

Meanwhile, in last night’s match between Argentina and Croatia, we had tipped Lionel Messi to score, Enzo Fernandez, to have one or more shots on target, as well as Otamendi and Matteo Kovacic to both, be carded.

Messi managed to score a penalty after just 34 minutes, while Benfica man Fernandez also took a shot on target. Chelsea midfielder Kovacic was shown a yellow card in the 32nd minute, while Otamendi was booked with 19 minutes left to play in the match.

Lionel Messi to Score & to Assist a Goal vs Croatia - 14/1

Last night’s match between Argentina and Croatia saw another masterclass from PSG forward Messi, in his quest to win the World Cup for the first-ever time.

The No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, hosted by Sam Allardyce and Natalie Pike via William Hill inspired this bet, which saw the Argentinian be priced at 14/1 to score and assist in the match. Messi scored a penalty in the 34th minute and created an assist for Julian Alvarez’s second goal of the game with 21 minutes to go.

England vs France: Olivier Giroud to Score & Harry Maguire to be Carded - 14/1

Our next winner comes from Betfair, where we chose to use a #StatPackDouble, revolving around France striker Olivier Giroud to score and England defender Harry Maguire to be carded.

Giroud went on to score a winner with just 12 minutes to go to break England’s hearts, while Manchester United defender, Maguire, was shown a yellow card in the 90th minute for a foul on Antoine Griezmann.

Netherlands vs Argentina: Jurrien Timber & Marcos Acuna to be Carded - 22/1

On 9th December, the Netherlands and Argentina played out a memorable and feisty World Cup quarter-final clash, with the latter being victorious via a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw.

Ajax defender Jurrien TImber was shown a yellow card in the 43rd minute of the match, as was Sevilla left-back Marcos Acuna. Notably, card double was at 22/1, but our partners at Bet 365 offered a 25% boost with a £10 stake, meaning that some punters saw a return of £285+.

Netherlands vs Argentina: Lionel Messi to Assist & Nicolas Otamendi to be Carded - 14/1

During the same clash between the Netherlands and Argentina, we also backed Lionel Messi to assist and Otamendi to be carded at 14/1.

In typical Messi fashion, the 35-year-old created an assist for Nahuel Molina’s 35th-minute opener, while Otamendi was shown a yellow card deep into stoppage time, receiving the card in the 11th-minute of injury time in the aftermath of Wout Weghorst’s dramatic equaliser.

Over 2 Goals in the Match & Harry Kane to Score Against Senegal - 3/1

Following an episode of the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast via William Hill prior to England’s Round of 16 game against Senegal, we decided to tip over two goals in the match with Harry Kane to score what would be his first goal of the tournament.

The Three Lions cruised to a memorable 3-0 victory over the Lions of Teranga, as Jordan Henderson, Kane and Bukayo Saka all got on the scoresheet before the hour mark.

Mbappe to Score & Mbappe to Assist vs Poland - 10/1

The No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast via William Hill was responsible for another winner here, as they inspired a tip for PSG striker Kylian Mbappe to score and assist against Poland.

France ran out as comfortable winners in this match, as Mbappe set up Giroud’s opener in the 44th minute, before scoring a brace with stunning finishes in the 74th and 91st minutes of the match to seal a 3-1 win for Didier Deschamps’ men.

Spain vs Germany: Musiala to Score or Assist & Sergio Busquets to be Carded - 10/1

Spain against Germany was one of the biggest clashes in the group stages at the time and provided an intense encounter.

This was another #StatPackDouble via Betfair which came in, as veteran midfielder Sergio Busquets was shown a yellow card in the 44th minute of the match for taking out Jamal Musiala on a counter-attack, while the latter created an assist for Werder Bremen forward Niclas Fullkrug in the 83rd minute to tie the match at 1-1.

Goalscorer Treble: Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe & Lionel Messi All to Score - 10.82/1

A goalscorer treble is always an impressive feat to pull off, however, on matchday two of the group stages, we managed it thanks to goals by Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, with the trio being priced at 10.82/1 to score in their matches.

Notably, Lewandowski managed to score his first-ever World Cup finals goal as Poland beat Saudi Arabia 2-0. Mbappe was on fire as usual as the PSG man scored a brace against Denmark in a 2-1 victory from France. Typically, Messi played a crucial role for Argentina, as he scored a stunning goal from outside the penalty area as Argentina defeated Mexico 2-0.

Kylian Mbappe to Score & Assist vs Australia - 17/2

Mbappe has arguably been the best player at the 2022 World Cup alongside the likes of Messi, having scored five goals and created two assists in five matches.

The 23-year-old bagged his first goal in France’s demolition of Australia on matchday one, while also setting up the fourth goal of the match with a delightful cross to Giroud as the world champions started the defence of their crown in style.

Qatar vs Ecuador: Ecuador to win, Most Corners in Each Half, Most Shots on Target In Each Half - 22/1

The opening match of the World Cup saw host nation Qatar go up against CONMEBOL outfit Ecuador, with the South American side being priced at decent odds for this match.

Despite their high odds to beat Qatar, Ecuador ran out as comfortable victors, winning 2-0 thanks to a brace from Enner Valencia, accumulating three corners to Qatar’s one, while also having three shots on target to Qatar’s zero.
