Bruno Fernandes broke the record for assists in a single Premier League season during the 2025/26 campaign, setting up 21 goals, and also scored nine times. The 31-year-old midfielder also scored three times for Portugal during the World Cup qualifiers.

Defender Chancel Mbemba picked up a booking during the qualifiers for Congo DR and during the regular season for his club side Lille. The 30-year-old committed 10 fouls in just 13 appearances.

Nuno Mendes was Portugal's most-fouled player during the World Cup qualifiers. The PSG left-back drew eight fouls in four appearances for his country, winning an average of 2.00 fouls per game.
