Qatar and Switzerland are set to lock horns in their 2026 World Cup opener in Group B, with kick-off in San Francisco at 8pm UK time.
2022 hosts Qatar will feel as though they've been given a favourable draw, but given the lack of standout quality in their team few are backing them to progress to the knockout stages.
Qatar were knocked out in the group stage of their own World Cup last time out and their squad does not appear noticeably stronger this time around, so it's safe to expect very little of the Gulf team.
Switzerland, on the other hand, are arguably the ultimate tournament team. Few other nations have maximised their talent pool as well as the Swiss have over the last 15 years, with the team reaching either the quarter-finals or the last 16 of every single tournament since 2010, knocking out sides like France and Italy in the process.
They have another huge chance to continue their excellent record this time around, and given the strength of their group they're well fancied to do just that.
