13:25 - Goodwood - Mister Whippy

ITV’s live action on Sunday kicks off with an EBF Novice Stakes at Goodwood. Mister Whippy could fire on the first time of asking after an excellent second behind the Gambling Man at Newbury earlier this month.

The step up to a mile is a major plus based on the Ed Walker runner’s finishing effort last time out, and Kieran Shoemark jumps aboard for the first time this weekend.

13:40 - Beverley - Fox Avatar

Two races from Beverley are also covered on ITV this Sunday, beginning with the Silver Cup Handicap, which is run over a mile and two.

Previous course and distance winner Fox Avatar could be an interesting selection for the Roger Varian yard. He made an impressive return to the turf at Salisbury last time, finishing within three lengths of Mythical Bird. Runs off the same mark this weekend, and his previous course form makes him a strong contender.

14:00 - Goodwood - Masked Warrior

Next up is a handicap over a mile from Goodwood. Masked Warrior could be forgiven for running too freely when well-backed before finishing fourth at Ripon last time.

He had previously shown plenty of ability over seven furlongs, and is proven on soft ground. The yard is in strong form, and this distance should be within reach as a song of New Bay.

14:15 - Beverley - Al Shabab Storm

The Listed Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes is the next race on ITV, with a field of eleven runners competing over five furlongs.

Things finally clicked for Al Shabab Storm on his last outing, with a first-time tongue-tie having the desired impact, as he finished a neck clear of Corolla Point.

The drop to five furlongs also suited on that day at Newcastle, and Michael Appleby appears to have unlocked something with the runner. Worth each-way consideration on Sunday.

14:35 - Goodwood - Flash Harry

Flash Harry should be an interesting contender in the handicap over six furlongs at Goodwood on Sunday.

The four-year-old for the in-form Clive Cox yard is a previous winner over course and distance, and he hasn’t been beaten far on his previous two starts over six furlongs, including when within four lengths of Sondad at York last week.

A return to Goodwood is a positive, and Rossa Ryan is once again booked aboard.

14:55 - Yarmouth - Hyponotised

One race from Yarmouth is also covered on Sunday, and Hypnotised could be a very interesting selection for the in-form Harry Charlton yard.

The lightly-raced three-year-old was an excellent second at Newbury last time out, finishing within a neck of Rhythm N Hooves. There’s still more to come from the No Nay Never colt, and he could be the one of most interest in this race on Sunday.

15:10 - Goodwood - Light Of Dawn

The Group Three Prestige Fillies’ Stakes is next up from Goodwood, and the Karl Burke filly could be worth chancing. Light Of Dawn was a clear-cut winner on rules debut at Carlisle, beating Capilano by over a length.

She has lost little in defeats in stakes company on her last two starts, finishing third in the Group Three Albany and third in the Group Three Prix du Cabourg. One of serious interest back against the fillies.

15:30 - Cork - Pivotal Attack

One race from Ireland is also covered on Sunday, with a talented field involved in the Group Three Little Big Bear Stakes. Pivotal Attack should be an interesting selection for the Joseph Murphy yard.

The three-year-old made a dominant impression at Galway in late July, easing clear of the field to beat Meriden by just under two lengths.

Held strong form at the early part of the season, finishing within three lengths of True Love in the Group Three Priory Belle Stakes.

15:45 - Goodwood - Lorca’s Waltz

The ITV action concludes on Sunday with a Selling Stakes over a mile and three. First-time headgear could have the desired impact with Lorca’s Waltz for the William Haggas yard.

He made a winning return to action after being gelded at Beverley in June, before disappointing on his latest two starts. This step up in trip should unlock further progression.
