Aston Villa host Wolves at Villa Park in a Midlands derby in what is a battle of 10th versus 12th in the Premier League table.
The Villains come into this game having won two out of their last three matches, following victories over Everton and Manchester United, winning the latter via a late Kortney Hause header. Last time out though, Villa were narrowly beaten 2-1 away at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg strike and a Matthew Targett own goal either side of Ollie Watkins 67th minute equaliser condemned Dean Smith’s side to a defeat.
Bruno Lage’s side have significantly improved, having managed three victories in their last four games, beating Watford 2-0, as well as 1-0 at Southampton, before managing their most recent victory at home to Newcastle United via a 2-1 scoreline where South Korean striker Hwang Hee-Chan scored a brace.
When these two sides played each other last season the matches were close affairs, as the game at Villa Park finished 0-0, whilst at Molineux, Villa won the game thanks to a 94th-minute penalty by Anwar El Ghazi.
