Chelsea will play hosts to Real Madrid for the first time ever in the Champions League a week after the two drew 1-1 in Spain with the Blues taking with them a vital away goal.
Thomas Tuchel's exceptional start to life in west London continued when he managed to take that away goal with him from Madrid and also beat Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals just 10 days prior. Now, however, is the German's biggest game to date and he can become the first manager in history to make it to two Champions League finals in a row, but with two separate clubs.
At the start of the season, it would have been ludicrous to suggest the Blues would make it this far, never mind a European final. However, under Tuchel, they have become a legitimate threat to City's Premier League crown for next season, whilst they proved in Madrid last time out, they are back amongst the big guns once again as they sit as the 4/7 favourites to qualify and 6/5 to win on the night.
Chelsea, however, still lack the class of Real. Zinedine Zidane's record in this competition is unrivalled and his men just seem to figure it out at the right time every time, and they should not be overlooked for a second, especially with the in-form Karim Benzema up top.
The Frenchman is the club's top scorer once again, just as he has been each year since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, and after his excellent goal in the first leg, he could make another impact.
With an away goal, it's fair to put Chelsea as the favourites. However, one goal from Real and the odds suddenly change drastically, and with Benzema in exceptional form this season, we are backing him to score and Real to advance and win on the night.
