Coventry vs. Huddersfield Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Coventry vs. Huddersfield prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Two struggling sides meet in the Championship this weekend as Coventry City face Huddersfield Town.

Coventry City currently sit 15th in the Championship with nine wins, eight draws and ten losses from twenty-seven games this season.

The Sky Blues have had a difficult season thus far as they hover around mid-table unremarkably, but they did start poorly and have managed to salvage some pride with a good run, but of that has been undone with a poor past few weeks.

They enter this game in the midst of a poor run of form having failed to win any of their last five matches and are coming off the back of a three-match losing streak having lost to Wrexham, 3-4, Burnley, 1-0, and most recently Norwich City, 2-4.

Their home form is not much better, either, having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five games on home soil in all competitions while failing to win any of their last four.

Coventry currently sit nine points clear of the relegation zone but need to start picking up wins as they find themselves edging ever-closer to the dreaded drop zone. A home fixture against a side in the relegation zone is as must-win as fixtures come and there's a lot of pressure on the home side here.

Huddersfield Town currently sit 22nd in the Championship with seven wins, five draws and fourteen losses from twenty-six games this season.

The Terriers have had a dismal campaign and have spent the majority of it in the relegation zone. They're one of the favourites to go down, but they have shown signs of life in recent weeks to give their fans a sense of optimism.

They do enter this game amid a poor run of form, however, having failed to win any of their last three games having drawn one and lost two, with their most recent game a 1-1 draw away at Hull City.

Their away record has been alright of late, though, having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games on the road in all competitions.

Huddersfield beat Coventry 2-1 when the two sides met last April in the Championship and are unbeaten against their opponents since 1972 with the prior three games all ending in draws.

Huddersfield are in need of wins if they are to salvage their season and Coventry away is a fantastic opportunity to take three points.
