We have a cracker in the FA Cup semifinals on Sunday as Leeds United take on Chelsea for a place in the final.
Chelsea enter this game amidst dramatic circumstances. The club parted ways with manager Liam Rosenior on Wednesday following a heavy 3-0 defeat to Brighton. Poor results and rumours of disharmony in the dressing room seemingly forced the club into the call, and they've now placed assistant Calum McFarlane in caretaker charge.
Chelsea have lost seven of their last eight games and all of their last three in a row. There were some tough fixtures in that run, however, and they've remained strong in this competition, where they've scored 15 goals in their last three FA Cup ties.
Eight of Chelsea's last ten games have seen over 2.5 goals scored, so they're a notably high-event team.
Calum McFarlane impressed in his short caretaker spell earlier in the season, where he claimed a point at the Etihad in a 1-1 draw. Fans will now be hoping for a near-term bounce and they'll feel confident based on prior evidence.
Leeds, meanwhile, take part in their first FA Cup semi-final since the 1986-87 season. The Whites have all but secured Premier League safety following a point away at Bournemouth on Wednesday, so they'll be determined to win this game in what would be a monumental victory for the club.
Leeds' form is good, with just two defeats in their last ten. All of their last four games have seen over 2.5 goals scored, so they regularly take part in entertaining encounters.
Daniel Farke side are, though, the draw specialists of the Premier League having drawn a total of 13 games this season, more than any other club in the division. They've also drawn four of their last six outings in normal time.
These two sides drew 2-2 when they met at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign, and we feel as though a similar scoreline may play out here. We think this game will be decided by spot kicks, and given their superior individual quality, we think that favours the Blues.
