The Championship takes on the Premier League this Friday night in the Championship with Fulham welcoming the struggling Rotherham United to Craven Cottage after a stunning result over the title-competing Arsenal last time out.
Fulham went 1-0 down after five minutes when Bukayo Saka netted, but Raul Jimenez popped up with a goal soon after. The headlines were eventually stolen by Bobby Decordova-Reid, who scored a second half winner. It does, however, still leave the Cottagers down in 13th and behind the top half of the table by five points.
Fulham have now won seven games and lost 10 from the 20 fixtures, although they also have another cup run going on right now with a two-legged EFL Cup semi-final to look forward to with Liverpool starting next week. The recent win for the London side over Arsenal was their first victory in regular time since early December, but by also beating Everton in the EFL Cup on penalties and West Ham United and Nottingham Forest back in the league, there was a lot of hope brought out of last month.
In fact, those two league wins over Forest and the Hammers saw them register a combined 10 goals and keep two clean sheets in the 5-0 victories.
As for Rotherham, it's been another dreadful campaign for them in the Championship with the club all the way down in 24th once again. Rotherham did get a commendable draw at Ewood Park last time out, as Sean Morrison and Tom Eaves scored equalising goals against Blackburn Rovers on Monday.
The club did manage to get a win in December, however, as they narrowly beat Middlesbrough 1-0. On the other hand, losses to West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City, Plymouth Argyle and Leicester City mean the club have just one win in the past 14 games. Ultimately, a long season of fighting the drop is on the cards for Rotherham and an FA Cup run may be the only thing that they get from this season.
