Leeds vs Plymouth Prediction, Tips & Stats

Two Championship sides will clash in the FA Cup this weekend as the second tier's strugglers Plymouth Argyle head to Elland Road to meet with a Leeds United side gunning for an immediate return to the Premier League this season.

Leeds have been excellent this season and are only adrift of the automatic promotion spot of second by two points. They have, however, played one extra game this season and will also head into the match as the second best defensive team with only 26 goals let in.

Leeds are also adrift of Southampton by one point in third, but with a gap of 15 points on Hull City in seventh, it feels as if a spot in the playoffs is already on the cards for the Whites.

Plymouth continue to struggle this season, and they have now let in as many goals as they have scored with 47 going in at either end, meaning only Blackburn Rovers just below them and Rotherham United at the bottom of the table have let in more goals so far.

The Pilgrims did get back in the win column last weekend to keep up their unbeaten run in 2024 so far. The 3-1 win over Cardiff City last time out has also been matched by a 3-1 victory over Sutton United in the FA Cup to set up this all-Championship clash at Elland Road.

BTTS in both halves, each team 2+ corners in each half and each team 20+ booking points is up at 125/1 for this game and is a popular RAB. You can also get odds of 66/1 for Plymouth Argyle to win, BTTS, each team 4+ corners and each team 20+ booking points, should you fancy an upset win. On the other hand, Leeds United to win, BTTS, each team 4+ corners and each team 20+ booking points is at 14/1.

Crysensio Summerville has been Leeds' standout player this season and for him to score, 4+ corners in each half and each team 10+ booking points sits at 9/2. BTTS, each team 1+ corners in each half and each team 10+ booking points is another popular RAB at 11/4, and over 2.5 goals, 9+ corners and 30+ booking points is also priced at 6/4 - this has occurred on nine different occasions for Leeds this season across all competitions.

            Plymouth team news

Ryan Hardie and Morgan Whittaker continued their excellent goalscoring form last weekend against Cardiff and should start here again. Devine, however, came off injured that day and now misses out.

            Leeds team news

Patrick Bamford's return has been a welcomed one in 2024, and he has scored four goals since doing so and should start here. On the other hand, injuries in defence continue with Pascal Struijk, Stuart Dallas and Liam Cooper all sidelined. Karl Darlow is also not fit to play just yet.
