Manchester United vs West Ham United Prediction, Tips & Stats

Manchester United are back in action just four days on from winning the League Cup final against Newcastle United as the Red Devils look to keep up their fight on all four fronts this season with West Ham United up next at Old Trafford.

United were excellent at times in their EFL Cup final win over the Magpies, as Marcus Rashford scored once more following on from a thumping header from Casemiro. Both goals came in the first half and it now means United have won 29 games this season and that no side in Europe have won more all campaign long.

Back in the league, United are adrift of Arsenal by right points in the table, although the Gunners do play at the same time as Erik ten Hag's men in the Premier League against Everton. They also have a Europa League tie against Real Betis coming up, and should they get through here, not many will argue them going on to win the Europa League and FA Cup, as Arsenal and Liverpool are already out of the latter.

Bruno Fernandes 2+ shots on target in 90 minutes is boosted to 11/4 - Fernandes had 2 shots on target in his last game at Old Trafford and had one in the League Cup final. 2+ shots on target each team in each half in 90 minutes is boosted to 13/2 and Marcus Rashford to score 2+ goals in 90 minutes is up at 15/2 - Rashford scored 2 goals in his last Premier League game and has now scored in 5 consecutive league fixtures.

Rashford to score first and either Man Utd 2-0 or Man Utd 2-1 in 90 minutes is also up at 9/1. Maguire, Downes and Antonio each to make 1+ fouls is priced at 15/8 and Fred, Casemiro, Soucek and Rice each to make 1+ fouls is at 2/1.

          Manchester United team news

Ten Hag will hope to rest some players in this game after such a hectic schedule sees them play for the third time in six days. Marcus Rashford may get benched as a result, but Anthony Martial is still not fit to play. Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Wout Weghorst could lead the line as a result. Harry Maguire will captain the side from the back and likely plays alongside Victor Lindelof. Scott McTominay and Fred could start together once more, while Tom Heaton could come into goal.

          West Ham team news

Maxwel Cornet is set to miss this game with an injury once more, although he is nearing a return. Lukasz Fabianski is also out still, while Vladimir Coufal nears a return just as Kurt Zouma faces a late fitness test.
