Friday night sees Fulham host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Craven Cottage in what is a crucial match for both sides as they both look to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.
At present Fulham are three points adrift of Newcastle having played one more game, but Scott Parker’s side does have a better goal difference than the Magpies, meaning that they could move out of the relegation zone with a win.
Meanwhile, Wolves are nine points above the drop zone and will be looking to avoid themselves getting dragged into a relegation battle in what has been a tough season for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
Fulham come into this match having won just one of their last six matches, which came in a 1-0 win against Liverpool at Anfield on 7th March via a Mario Lemina strike just before half-time. Since then, the Cottagers have lost their last three matches against Manchester City, Leeds United and Aston Villa, losing the latter 3-1 last weekend, despite being 1-0 up after 77 minutes following Aleksandar Mitrovic’s opener just past the hour mark.
Wolves haven’t won in the Premier League since 19th February against Leeds which was via an own goal from Illan Meslier, following a long-range strike by Adama Traore hitting the crossbar and rebounding off the 21-year-old’s back.
Since beating Leeds, Wolves have failed to beat Newcastle, City, Aston Villa, Liverpool and most recently at Molineaux against West Ham on Monday night, where they were 3-0 down until goals from Leander Dendoncker and Fabio Silva gave them a fighting chance that they couldn’t convert into a point.
Prediction: Fulham 1 – 1 Wolverhampton Wanderers 5/1
