20th place Gillingham host ninth in the table Portsmouth at Priestfield on Saturday, with the home side aiming to stay outside of the League One relegation places.
Steve Evans’ men have been in poor form of late, as they were beaten 2-0 by Cheltenham Town in midweek, having also lost by the same scoreline to Crewe Alexandra last weekend. The Gills were knocked out of the FA Cup by Cheltenham as they lost 1-0 to Michael Duff’s side in a replay, having initially drawn 1-1 at home. The last time Gillingham picked up a point in the league was back on 13th November when they drew 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.
Portsmouth are in the best form they have been in so far this season, as Danny Cowley’s side have won all of their last five matches, following a 1-0 home victory over Harrow in the FA Cup, as well as a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace Under 21s. Pompey have also won their last three league matches, defeating Wycombe Wanderers 1-0, as well as AFC Wimbledon 2-1 and Lincoln City 3-0.
Prediction: Gillingham 0-1 Portsmouth 11/2
