Accrington vs. Lincoln City Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Accrington vs. Lincoln prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Accrington Stanley are looking to climb out of the bottom three in League One as they face Lincoln City this weekend.

Accrington Stanley currently sit 21st in League One with six wins, seven draws and twelve losses from twenty-five games this season.

Stanley had a respectable start to the campaign but have declined dramatically in recent months as they now find themselves under serious threat of relegation.

They enter this game having won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five league matches, the most recent of which was a 3-1 loss away at Barnsley.

Their most recent game overall saw them fall to a 1-3 defeat at home to Leeds United in the FA Cup last weekend.

Stanley's form at home is pretty respectable having gone unbeaten in their last three league games on home soil, taking five points from those. They will, then, be hoping home advantage serves them well here.

Accrington are under serious threat of relegation but they can find peace in the fact they have at least two, and in some cases three, games in hand on the sides above them. They're level on points with MK Dons in 20th so a win here could easily take them out of the bottom four.

Lincoln City currently sit 16th in League One with six wins, thirteen draws and seven losses from twenty-six games this season.

The Imps have had an unremarkable campaign this year, despite threatening to make a run for the play-offs at times, as they now look set to settle for a mid-table finish absent of a dramatic turnaround.

They enter this game in dismal form having failed to win any of their last eight league games, drawing four and losing one of their last five.

Most recently, Lincoln were held to a drab 0-0 draw at home to Cambridge United, marking their second consecutive 0-0 draw.

Lincoln's form away from home has been shoddy too, having drawn one and lost four of their last five league games on the road.

The two sides drew 1-1 when they met in the league back in September and drew 2-2, with Accrington winning on penalties, when they met in the EFL Trophy a few weeks back so they're evenly matched.

Both sides are in really poor form here and with Lincoln being the masters of the draw another stalemate seems quite likely. A draw is a solid bet here.
