Barnsley host Burton Albion at Oakwell this Saturday in their seventh game in the League One season. With the sides in opposite halves of the table, Burton will be looking to grab a win to get them out of the drop zone and Barnsley look to close in on the Play-off places.

Though Barnsley took the lead through Barry Cotter, Hector Kyprianou, Jonson Clarke-Harris and Kwame Poku all scored to give Peterborough the 3 - 1 win. Oxford United also beat Barnsley 3 - 1 with Cole scoring for Barnsley and Cameron Brannagan and Tyler Goodrham scoring for Oxford with Jordan Williams scoring an own goal.
Burton, on the other hand, sit 22nd in the table and in the relegation zone. In six games, The Brewers have two draws and four losses, leaving them on a measly two points, three points away from safety.
The Brewers have two draws and three losses in their last five games. The first draw came against Wycombe where Burton were dominated in every aspect of the game. With less possession and fewer shots on target, Burton played out a goalless draw with Wycombe. The other draw came against Bolton where Mark Helm gave Burton the lead but Dion Charles’ goal in the second half meant the game finished 1 - 1.
The three losses came against Exeter, Shrewsbury and Derby County. Steve Seddon was sent off in the 94th minute as he picked up a second yellow card as Ryan Trevitt scored the only goal to give Exeter the 1 - 0 win. Mason Bennett scored in the 97th minute but Shrewsbury got the 2 - 1 win through Tom Bayliss and Chey Dunkley. James Collins, Conor Hourihane and Conor Washington all scored in Derby’s 3 - 0 win over Burton, despite The Brewers having 59% of the possession.
Barnsley and Burton have met just 11 times in their histories, with all of these meetings coming after 2014. The Tykes have four wins in comparison to The Brewers’ three wins, in fact, a draw is more common in this fixture than a Burton win, with points being shared four times.
