One of the more consequential games of the League One final day lineup takes place at Oakwell as Barnsley host Peterborough United.
Barnsley currently sit 4th in League One with twenty-six wins, eight draws and eleven losses from forty-five games this season.
After a slow start to the campaign, The Tykes have had an excellent season having comfortable secured a play-off spot as they sit eight points ahead of 5th place Bolton Wanderers.
There will, though, be some concern amongst the fanbase regarding their chances in the play-offs with Barnsley's form having tailed off in the last nine or so games as they enter this match having won one, drawn two and lost one of their last four games.
They've now won five of their last ten games and while that's not bad form it's not what you'd expect from a promotion contender either.
Their most recent game saw them held to a thrilling 4-4 draw away at relegation-threatened MK Dons in a game they found themselves 4-1 down in after 69 minutes only to dramatically rescue a point in the 86th minute.
That result will have felt like a win and Barnsley will hope they can take some momentum from that game and end the season positively.
Despite this result having no impact on their overall standing it's very important they claim three points here in an attempt to enter the postseason in the best form possible. Momentum is not quite on their side yet and they need to change that heading into the play-offs.
Peterborough United currently sit 7th in League One with twenty-three wins, five draws and seventeen losses from forty-five games this season.
The Posh have had a mixed campaign having gone through periods of strong form and periods of poor form and they enter the final day with everything hanging in the balance.
They can still secure a top six finish but their fate is not in their own hands as they need to clim all three points here and hope Derby County lose away at Sheffield Wednesday.
If Derby draw then Peterborough can still make the play-offs but they would need to win by three goals or more to usurp them into 6th.
Their form is not great heading into this game though, with The Posh winning two, drawing one and losing two of their last five games having taken just one point from their last two.
They'll no doubt give it everything here but they face a very tough fixture against a side that won't be willing to simply roll over.
For our Barnsley vs. Peterborough prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
