Bristol Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers are set to meet this weekend with the two sides having topsy-turvy starts to the latest League One season with Wycombe still struggling to adapt to life without Gareth Ainsworth.
Bristol have just one win in all competitions this season and head into this one after only narrowly defeating Charlton Athletic 2-1. Scott Sinclair got his third goal of the season that day with the club seeing Scott McCormick score in the final few seconds of the game to make it 2-1 at The Valley. Bristol did, however, immediately fall back to the loss column with a 2-0 defeat to Cambridge United away from home.
Other games this season have seen Bristol lose to Ipswich Town of the Championship in the EFL Cup first round two weeks back. Bristol would also draw with Portsmouth on the opening weekend before a draw with Barnsley.
As for Wycombe, they drew with Burton Albion last weekend, despite dominating most of the game with a 0-0 draw at home - the club had eight shots on target that day.
Prior to this, Wycombe managed to defeat Leyton Orient 3-2 with a brace from Joe Low and a finish from Dale Taylor. They would also lose 3-0 to Lincoln City after beating MK Dons in the EFL Cup first round not too long before that. However, their topsy-turvy season has all but been summed up by the fact they lost 3-0 at home to Exeter City.
