There's everything to play for with MK Dons in their final game of the season with the club set to head on the road to meet with a Burton Albion side merely eyeing up a spot one place higher in the League One table.
MK Dons have now won 11 times in 45 games and lost 23 games meaning they have now lost more matches than any other side outside of the bottom four. At the same time, the club are sitting outside of the relegation spots in the third tier on just goals difference, as they are on the same level of points as Morecambe.
In fact, with eight goals in their favour after scoring 44 times and letting in 66, MK Dons simply have to match or better the results of Morecambe and Cambridge United in the final game of the season. Accrington Stanley down in 23rd are three points behind them and even if they win, the club must overturn a goals difference deficit of 16 goals in order to get out of the bottom three.
MK Dons are now heading into this one without a win since defeating Stanley back in mid-March where an early goal from Sullay Kaikai sealed all three points and Morecambe 1-0 a week later.
They have since gone on to draw four in a row with draws against Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth, Derby County and Cheltenham Town. The Dons then lost 1-0 to both Charlton Athletic and Fleetwood Town before a stunning 4-4 draw at home to Barnsley.
This does, however, still keep them outside of the bottom four after a goal each from Warren O'Hora and Jon Leko, just as Mohamed Eisa scored two second half goals. On the other hand, MK Dons were 3-1 at one stage and let in three goals in 13 minutes to leave Stadium MK with just a point.
As for Burton, they gave MK Dons a massive boost last time out by defeating Cambridge United 1-0 in midweek. All three points that day now mean they sit 14th in the league with 15 wins, but they have still let in a stunning 79 goals - this is the most outside of the bottom four and 13 more than MK Dons. The club can only move one place higher if they win and Shrewsbury Town lose.
