It's one of the biggest games of the season down at the bottom end of the table with Reading heading to Brunton Park to meet with last-placed Carlisle United where both sides are in a proper relegation fight.
Despite both of these teams fighting for survival in League One right now, in reality, it's the home team who are all but down and out and facing an immediate relegation back into League Two. Heading into this game at Brunton Park, Carlisle have won the fewest games in the third tier with five on the board, but with a game extra to play on Fleetwood Town just above them, the gap could be cut to just two points on 23rd.
However, with 10 points keeping them in last place from the safe spot of 21st, there is very little hope running through the North West in terms of another season in League One for League Two's playoff winners.
Carlisle did, however, manage to get their fifth win last time out to end a terrible winless run throughout February. The club edged out a narrow win at the Pirelli Stadium over fellow strugglers Burton Albion, but with this being just their 28th goal of the season, the Cumbrians have scored the fourth fewest goals in League One.
Other results in February saw Leyton Orient beat them in London 3-2 before another home defeat at the hands of the league leaders Portsmouth. Things got even worse for Carlisle the other week when they lost 4-0 to Cambridge United at home, which was coupled with an away loss to Bristol Rovers. This means that their last win before the clash with Burton was over Port Vale all the way back on New Year's Day.
Things have got a bit better for Reading after it felt like doomsday for them each weekend with them deep in the bottom three. Now, however, there is a gap of four points on Port Vale in 22nd, while they've also managed to win 11 games from the 35 outings, which means they have more wins than Wycombe Wanderers in 14th. In fact, if it wasn't for the points deduction, Reading would be way in the clear right now.
