The scoreline didn’t change in the second half and finished at 1 - 1. The first away trip was to top of the league Oxford United where The Cumbrians suffered a 1 - 0 loss. Carlisle’s second point came against Wigan Athletic where Moxon scored again in another 1 - 1 draw. However, Carlisle would lose again against Exeter City, this time 2 - 0 through goals from Ryan Trevitt and Demetri Mitchell.

However, on their first away day of the season The Shrews suffered their first defeat of the season. Aaron Pressley and Jamie Reid gave Stevenage the 2 - 0 win. Shrewsbury were back to winning ways the next match when they hosted Burton. Tom Bayliss scored in the first three minutes and Chey Dunkley scored in additional time of the first half. Mason Bennett scored in the 97th minute but The Shrews won 2 - 1 regardless. Lincoln City was next up for Shrewsbury but Ethan Hamilton scored the only goal in the 1 - 0 win for Lincoln.
Shrewsbury’s last league action was an away day to Fleetwood. Daniel Udoh scored the only goal in the 1 - 0 win against nine men Fleetwood as Jay Lynch and Josh Earl were both shown red. The Shrews had a quiet midweek as they were knocked out of the League Cup in the First Round 2 - 1 to Leeds.
