Fleetwood Town and Leyton Orient are set to clash at Highbury this weekend with both sides struggling in the early stages of the new campaign that sees the home side down in 23rd as they aim to push further up the table.
For the past few campaigns, Fleetwood have struggled to get themselves going in the first few games. This time around, however, things are even worse and the club are down in the relegation zone with no wins on the board and a dismal four goals scored and just two points from two draws.
Worse yet, Scott Brown's side have now let in 14 goals too, meaning only last-placed Cheltenham Town have conceded more after their 1-1 draw with Burton Albion last time out. In fact, alarmingly, Fleetwood are already four points adrift of Burton Albion in 20th after eight games, and with no wins, they and Cheltenham are the only two sides across the entire Football League yet to win a league game.
As for Orient, they got back to winning ways last time out with a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town that saw Ruel Sotiriou also get back in the win column. Orient are heading into this one after also beating Fulham U21s on penalties in the Football League Trophy group stages after a 2-2 draw saw Ethan Galbraith and Idris El Mizouni score a goal each - the latter bagged with basically the final kick of the game.
Although the champions of League One are struggling too, they are still in 15th and have scored four more goals with three wins on the board. However, with a game extra played, Orient could end up dropping to as low as 18th over time and they have also let in the most goals for those outside of the relegation spots.
