MK Dons' big for survival in League One this weekend as they face Fleetwood Town away from home.
Fleetwood Town currently sit 13th in League One with thirteen wins, fifteen draws and fifteen losses from forty-three games this season.
The Cod Army have had a fairly unremarkable campaign this time around as they cruise towards a mid-table finish in the league.
They enter this game in fairly poor form overall having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 0-0 draw against bottom of the league Forest Green Rovers.
Fleetwood have nothing to play for at this point so it's not a huge surprise to see them failing to set the world alight in the final weeks of the season.
Their form at home has been fairly solid in recent weeks having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches on home soil.
This game aside, Fleetwood have a very tough conclusion to the season as they face Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town in their final two matches so this is their best opportunity to pick up three points to help finish to campaign on a positive note.
MK Dons currently sit 19th in League One with eleven wins, ten draws and twenty-two losses from forty-three games this season.
MK Dons have had a frankly dreadful campaign and have arguably been the biggest underachievers in English football this season with many expecting them to contest promotion coming into the campaign.
Instead, they've spent the entirety of the season battling relegation but an improvement in form has given them a good chance to avoid the drop with their fate in their own hands as they enter this game having lost just one of their last eight matches.
They did, though, lose their most recent game in a 0-1 defeat at home to Charlton Athletic, a result that means they're now five games without a win having drawn their four games prior to that loss.
Their form away from home has been fairly solid by their standards having won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five matches on the road.
MK Dons were beaten 1-2 by Fleetwood when the two sides met back in December and that result could play on their mind coming into this game.
The away side need the points much more than Fleetwood do so could come into this game much more motivated than their opponents. Ultimately, that may be what decides this encounter.
For our Fleetwood vs. MK Dons prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
