Ipswich Town and Burton Albion will meet in League One this weekend with the Tractor Boys looking to chip away at the top two sides in the league with the club narrowly ahead of Bolton Wanderers in fourth and sitting comfortably in the playoffs.
Despite Ipswich dropping off the top spot in the league over the past few weeks and now behind Sheffield Wednesday by eight points, they are still six clear of Derby County in sixth place, although the club have played more games than everyone in the top six besides Bolton. Ultimately, Kieran McKenna's men could end up dropping out of the top five in a matter of weeks if results go against them.
On the other hand, the Tractor Boys are on a four-game unbeaten run since their narrow loss to the Championship league leaders Burnley. This has seen them draw with the current league leaders Wednesday, draw 0-0 with Bristol Rovers and beat Forest Green Rovers 4-0 before a 1-0 victory over MK Dons last weekend.
As for Burton, they are in relatively decent form ahead of this one, although they did lose to Portsmouth two weeks ago. Outside of that defeat, Burton have managed to defeat Oxford United, Fleetwood Town, Exeter City and Bristol Rovers within the past month, although they dropped two points in a goalless draw with Accrington Stanley last weekend.
